MATERIALS NEEDED:
The Dial Corporation Renuzit® LongLast® Adjustable Air Freshener*
9" x 12" piece of white plush felt*
30" length of 1/8" wide pink satin ribbon
6" natural straw hat
Titanium White acrylic paint*
Pom poms: One 1/4" pink; two 3/4" white
Two 15mm wiggle eyes
6 strands brown animal whiskers
5 1/2" white lace doily
Lavender spray paint*
Silk flowers: 12 small pastel; 12 small white
18 small green silk leaves
MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS:
Fine sand paper; glue gun & glue sticks*; craft glue*; scissors; craft snips; paint brush*; ruler; pencil.
RECOMMENDED MATERIALS MANUFACTURERS:
*The Dial Corporation Renuzit® LongLast® Adjustable Air Freshener; Kunin RainbowTM Plush Felt; Deco ArtTM Americana® Acrylic Paint; Design Master Acrylic Spray Color; Adhesive TechTM Ultimate Glue Gun and Professional Quality Glue Sticks; and Loew-Cornell® White Nylon, Series 797-F, Size 6 Flat Stain Paint Brush are recommended products.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) BASE: Lightly sand base to rough surface and paint with two coats Titanium White. Set aside and let dry.
2) EARS: Cut two ears from plush felt according to pattern. Glue one ear to Renuzit® topper aligning bottom of ear with bottom of topper. Pinch the ear
together at center above the topper, and glue edges together. Refer to photo to bend ear down and tack glue in place.
Wrap remaining ear around other side of topper, overlapping the first ear. Glue to topper along bottom edge of ear. Glue edges of the ear to the top of topper, turning under raw edge slightly in front, leaving top of ear open (standing up).
Wrap 12" length of ribbon around ear just above topper, tie into bow, trim ends. Repeat with other ear.
3) HAT: Use craft snips to cut approximately a 2" diameter hole in top of straw hat. Place hat on top of topper, pushing down over felt ears, until brim of hat is even with bottom of topper. Refer to photo for placement of flowers on hat. Begin by gluing leaves on with a large bunch on the right side and a small bunch on the left. Glue pastel flowers in place, and fill in with small white flowers.
4) FACE: Trim white pom poms with scissors to flatten one side. Center and glue to bottom front of base for jowls. Glue pink pom above jowls for nose. Glue wiggle eyes above jowls, aligning with top of base. Fold three whisker strands in half, tuck folded edge behind jowl and glue in place. Repeat with other whiskers.
5) COLLAR: Spray paint doily lavender. Let dry. Glue bottom of base to center of doily. Tie 6" length of ribbon into bow and glue to left side of
doily.
6) GEL REPLACEMENT: When the original gel is depleted, simply replace with a new container base. If your project base is decorated, remove dried gel. From a new container, remove new, non-toxic gel. Then slip it over the post of the decorated base and reposition the decorated topper.

Patterns are included with each project sheet. To use, place tracing paper over pattern and trace with pencil. Then fold and cut out both layers to create full size pattern. To attach patterns to felt or fabric, use pins or double-sided tape.
To reuse your character after the original gel is gone, simply place the decorated topper on a new air freshener base.
